Metric vs. Imperial
The Metric system (SI) uses base-10 increments (kilo, milli, centi), adopted by 95% of the world. The Imperial and US Customary systems use traditional divisions (12 inches/foot, 16 oz/lb). Delimiters.co allows seamless two-way conversion instantly.
Zero Latency Calculations
Conversions occur entirely in real-time as you type using high-precision IEEE 754 floating point mathematics with smart rounding. No network requests are initiated, allowing complete offline use.
100% Private & Secure
Your input values, engineering measurements, travel plans, and dataset numbers never leave your personal computer or smartphone. We uphold a strict zero server retention policy.

- • 1 stone (UK) = 14 pounds = 6.35029 kg
- • 1 metric ton = 1,000 kg = 2,204.62 lbs
- • 1 ounce = 28.3495 grams
🌡️ Temperature
- • Celsius to Fahrenheit: °F = (°C × 1.8) + 32
- • Fahrenheit to Celsius: °C = (°F - 32) ÷ 1.8
- • Celsius to Kelvin: K = °C + 273.15
- • Water Freezes: 0 °C = 32 °F = 273.15 K
- • Water Boils: 100 °C = 212 °F = 373.15 K

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is there a difference between US and UK gallons? ▼
In 1824, Britain standardized the Imperial gallon based on 10 pounds of water at 62 °F (4.546 Liters). The United States retained the earlier Queen Anne wine gallon of 231 cubic inches (3.785 Liters). Our converter specifically differentiates between US and Imperial Gallons so your recipes and fuel volumes are exact.
How does temperature conversion differ from length or weight? ▼
Unlike length and weight (which are multiplicative ratio scales starting at zero), temperature scales have different zero reference points. 0 °C is 32 °F, not 0 °F. Therefore, temperature conversions require both an offset addition (+32) and a scaling multiplication (× 1.8).
Are digital storage units based on 1000 or 1024? ▼
Hard drive and SSD manufacturers use standard decimal units (1 KB = 1,000 Bytes, 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 Bytes). Operating systems like Windows measure in binary powers of two (1 KiB = 1,024 Bytes). Our tool calculates using the universal standard decimal decimal system (1,000 base).
